Programming Instructions

1997 - 2000 Buick Century
1997 - 2000 Buick Regal

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the remotes you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the remotes , all previous codes will be erased from the memory. The other remotes will not be functional until you program the remotes again. 

1.      Close the vehicle doors.  

2.      Insert key in ignition and turn to ON (As far as you can without cranking engine)  

3.      Turn ignition OFF and remove the key from the ignition.  

4.     Press and hold the driver side door lock switch in the UNLOCK position.  

5.      Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock
       cylinder.)

6.      Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock
       cylinder.)

7.     Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the ignition key in the ignition lock cylinder.  

8.      Release the door lock switch. The vehicle will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been
       activated.  

9.      Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the keyless entry transmitter and hold until the vehicle beeps
        twice to verify that the transmitter has been successfully programmed (this take approximately 15 seconds).  

10.  Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters (including your old ones).  

11.  Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode.

 

1997 - 2000 Chevrolet Venture

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the remotes you
will be useing on the vehicle. Once you program the remote. all previous remotes that were
programmed will be erased from memory. The other remotes will not be functional until you
program the them again.

1. Remove the key from the ignition.

2. Close all doors.

3. Remove the "MALL PGM" fuse from the fuse panel. Use the legend on the fuse panel or
    owner's manual to properly locate the "MALL PGM" fuse.

4. Insert the key into the ignition, and turn to the ACC position.

5. Turn the key to OFF and then back to ACC within 1 second.

6. Open and close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system enters into
    programming mode.

7. Press and hold the remote LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
    IMPORTANT: After 7 seconds, a chime may be heard confirming successful
    synchronization. It is necessary to wait approximately 14 seconds for a second chime
    that will confirm successful programming.

8. Repeat step 7 now for each additional remotes to be programmed including any existing
    remotes.

9. Remove key from ignition.

10. Install the "MALL PGM" fuse back into the fuse panel and test remote(s).


1997 - 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix

Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle.

1. Remove key from ignition.

2. Remove the MALL PGM/BCM PGM fuse from fuse box.

3. Close all doors.

4. Turn ignition switch to ACC. (ACC is turning the key back toward you).

5. Within 1 second turn the ignition to OFF then back to ACC. (OFF is the position where you can remove your key)

6. Open then close the drivers door.

7. An acoustic sound will be heard after closing the door indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.

8. Hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote for about 15 seconds until two chimes are heard.

9. Repeat step 8 for any additional remotes including working ones.

10. Remove key from ignition and replace MALL PGM fuse.

11. Test all remotes.

 

1999 - 2000 Pontiac Montana

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the remotes you
will be useing on the vehicle. Once you program the remote. all previous remotes that were
programmed will be erased from memory. The other remotes will not be functional until you
program the them again.

1. Remove the key from the ignition.

2. Remove the "BCM PRGRM" fuse from the fuse panel. Use the legend on the fuse panel to 
    properly locate the "BCM PRGRM" fuse. Fuse panel is accessed by opening the front
    passenger door.

3. Close all of the doors.

4. Close the liftgate.

5. Insert the key into the ignition, and turn to the ACC position.

6. Turn the key to OFF and then back to ACC within 1 second.

7. Open and close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system enters into
    programming mode.

8. Press and hold the remote LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
